Built Different on Purpose

Not just another martial arts gym.

Most academies have one or two black belts. We have five, plus experienced brown and purple belt coaches — 13 instructors total. That depth means your child's 4:00 PM class gets the same caliber instruction as the advanced adult session at 7:00 PM. As a sister school to Gracie Barra Ocotillo, our students also have access to 9 black belts across both locations.

We opened on Hunt Highway in 2023 and Queen Creek showed up — 38 five-star reviews in our first two years from families across Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, and Johnson Ranch.

🔥
Depth You Can Feel on Day One
Our coaching staff includes black belts, brown belts, and experienced purple belts — all actively on the mat every week. Led by Head Instructor Nikola Dramicanin, the team delivers consistent, high-level instruction across every time slot.

Whole-Family Training
Parents and kids train in the same building, often back-to-back. Saturday mornings we run a dedicated Parents & Kids class. Over half our memberships are family accounts.

BJJ Programs — Queen Creek, AZ

The right program for every age.

01
Ages 5–6

Little Champions I

This is where BJJ starts to click. Kids learn real positions — mount, guard, side control — through age-appropriate drilling and cooperative partner work. The structure builds habits that show up at home and in the classroom.

02
Ages 7–9

Little Champions II

LC2 is a turning point. Kids begin learning submissions, executing sweeps, and understanding the logic behind positions. Controlled sparring starts here, and so does the resilience that comes from working through challenges on the mat.

03
Ages 10–15

Juniors & Teens

Teenagers face a unique set of pressures — social, academic, physical. Our Juniors program channels that energy into something productive. Training is serious, tournament prep is available, and the discipline built here shows up in grades and confidence alike.

04
All Levels Welcome

Adult Fundamentals

You don't need a background in anything. GB1 takes you from zero to competent with a progressive curriculum covering the essential positions, escapes, and submissions. Most students feel a shift in their confidence and conditioning within the first 30 days.

05
Intermediate & Above

Advanced BJJ

GB2 is where your game becomes yours. Live rolling against skilled partners, wrestling and judo takedowns woven into the ground game, and five black belts plus experienced brown and purple belt coaches offering different perspectives on the same position. This is where plateaus break.

06
Kids Ages 5–15

Anti-Bully Program

We don't run a one-off seminar. Anti-bullying training is embedded into every kids class, every week. Students practice reading aggressive body language, using their words first, and — only when necessary — controlling a situation physically without throwing punches.

07
Active & Veterans Welcome

Military & Law Enforcement

Ground control isn't optional in tactical situations. We train active duty, veterans, and LEOs in positional dominance, joint control, and suspect restraint techniques — skills that reduce escalation and keep everyone safer. The training culture here will feel familiar.

08
All Fitness Levels

BJJ for Weight Loss

The reason most people quit the gym is boredom. BJJ demands your full attention — you can't zone out during a live roll — and that's why people actually stick with it. Expect 500–1,000 calories burned per session, plus the afterburn effect that keeps your metabolism elevated for hours.

What our students say.

Real reviews from Queen Creek, San Tan Valley.

★★★★★

"Moved to Queen Creek from California and tried two other gyms before finding GB. The depth of instruction here is on another level — multiple black belts plus an incredible coaching staff. My daughter and I both train and it's become the highlight of our week."

★★★★★

"I signed up for the women's program after years of thinking about it. Coach Nikola and the team created an environment where I never once felt intimidated. Down 18 lbs in four months and I actually look forward to working out now."

Maria S.

★★★★★

"The kids program here changed my son's life. He was getting bullied at school — within two months of training, the bullying stopped completely. Not because he fought back, but because he carries himself differently. That confidence is real."

Tyler R.

★★★★★

"We drive from Johnson Ranch three times a week and it's worth every minute. The coaches know each kid by name. The structure is impressive — my 6-year-old and 10-year-old are both thriving in their age groups."

Rachel W.
Johnson Ranch, AZ
★★★★★

"Started BJJ at 42 with zero athletic background. The GB1 Fundamentals program met me exactly where I was. Eight months later I'm in the best shape of my life and earned my first stripe. Never too late."

Kevin D.

★★★★★

"What sets this place apart is the culture. Every person on the mat — from the newest white belt to the black belt professors — treats you like family. My whole family trains here and we wouldn't go anywhere else."
