Morning, Midday, and Evening Options
We know adults have jobs, families, and schedules that don't bend. That's why we run 6:00 AM classes five days a week, 10:00 AM sessions on Tuesday and Thursday, and 7:00 PM classes Monday through Thursday. Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM round it out. Between morning, afternoon, and evening blocks, we have over 40 classes per week across 6 days.
5 Black Belt Instructors
Our adult program is taught by 5 actively coaching black belt professors — not just affiliated, but on the mat teaching every week. They're supported by experienced brown and purple belt instructors, giving you 11 total coaches with different perspectives and specialties. We're also a sister school to Gracie Barra Ocotillo, giving our students access to 9 black belts across the network.
Weight Loss and Body Recomposition
The reason most people quit the gym is boredom. BJJ demands your full cognitive engagement — you can't zone out during a live roll. Expect 500–1,000 calories burned per session, plus the afterburn effect. But the real reason people stick with it isn't the calorie math — it's that BJJ is genuinely engaging enough that consistency happens naturally.
When to train.
Real results.
"Started BJJ at 42 with zero athletic background. The GB1 Fundamentals program met me exactly where I was. Eight months later I'm in the best shape of my life and earned my first stripe. Never too late."
"I signed up for the women's program after years of thinking about it. Coach Nikola and the team created an environment where I never once felt intimidated. Down 18 lbs in four months and I actually look forward to working out now."
"Moved to Queen Creek from California and tried two other gyms before finding GB. The depth of instruction here is on another level — multiple black belts plus an incredible coaching staff. My daughter and I both train and it's become the highlight of our week."
Questions answered.
That's the number one thing people say before starting — and the number one thing they wish they hadn't waited on. Our GB1 program meets you wherever you are. We have students who couldn't do a push-up on day one and now train five days a week.
GB1 (Fundamentals) covers the core positions, escapes, and submissions every practitioner needs — no experience required. GB2 (Advanced) adds live rolling, wrestling integration, and competition-level technique. Your instructor will guide you on when to transition, usually around 6–12 months.
Yes — 6:00 AM classes run Monday through Friday. We also have 10:00 AM sessions on Tuesday and Thursday. Between morning, afternoon, and evening blocks, we have over 40 classes per week.
Start with 2–3 days per week. Consistency beats intensity. Most students naturally increase to 4–5 days as they build the habit and their body adapts.
Athletic or workout clothing — shorts and a t-shirt are fine. We provide a Gi for your first class. Bring a water bottle.
Very. Most real-world confrontations happen at close range or on the ground. BJJ trains you to control position, create space, and escape — skills that work when adrenaline hits and nothing is choreographed.
